BOOKS TO READ

As Christians we need to fill our hearts and our MINDS with positive, uplifting Godly things.

I enjoy a good TV program as much as anyone. I have spent many hours in front of the Idiot box (That is my mom use to call it when we watched too much TV).

Kids nowadays on average spend about as much time during the week in front of the TV as they do in school, especially when you consider Video Games etc.   Let me say that watching TV or playing video games aren't wrong in general, but in excessive amounts it isn't healthy. Not only physically but mentally as well.   

I wasn't much of a reader in years past but have become so in the last couple of years. And I was a BIG time TV person, watching HOURS each day.  I'm not saying to get rid of your TV but if you can wean yourself off it an extra 30 minutes a day, it is a great start.  That is extra time that you can spend reading an uplifting book that will help you with your Christian walk.

Here are just a few of the books that either my Wife or I have read lately that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Success God's Way by Charles Stanley  This is an absolutely AWESOME book and I would recommend it for anyone who is a Business Person or anyone who even has a job; it is tremendous!  I purchased about 40 copies to give away last Christmas and received very positive comments back from those read it.   For anyone in business, it's about the best $10 you will spend!  I personally read it once, then went back and read it again with a highlighter.  Well, most of the book is now highlighted!  I can't recommend it more highly.

Purpose Driven Life  by Rick Warren    This is a best seller and has sold over 20 million copies. I have read through it a second time just recently and it is quite powerful. It has changed many people's lives.  And if you are looking for your purpose in life, it's a must have.

Believing God  by Beth Moore    Beth is a well known womens' speaker.  My wife just finished reading the book and really enjoyed it.  That is the next book on my list to read.   It is about not just believing in God but actually Believing GOD and what he says. 

Man in the Mirror by Patrick Morley  This is an awesome book that I just finished in the Summer of 2006.  This is a MUST read for ALL Men.  Solving the 24 Problems Men Face it is GREAT.

These are just a few of the many excellent books to read.  The ones mentioned above are easy reads but extremely important to read.  Come back to this section of the website often as I update additional books.
