My name is Steve Hoven and I started www.Christian-finances.net in order to bring glory to God .   

This is a picture of my wife and me.  We reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan along with our 1 year old daughter. 

My background is in trading and marketing. I have had an interest in finances for a long time. 

I am always looking for different ways to save/make money.... stuff not necessarily in the ordinary. I am not a penny pincher by any means but I like to think outside the box on things from time to time. And I hope some of the tips that you will find on the website will help turn a light bulb on in your mind on your spending/saving as they did for me.

My goal for this site is to help Christians spend their money more wisely not by pinching every penny, but by using techniques or ideas in which they may not have considered. Not every person is brilliant in every aspect of life and by no means am I brilliant in ANY aspect but I think some of these ideas can help people.

I saw the stats about what Christians give and was amazed. On average Christians give only 2-3% of their income to church/Charity. If we all just gave 10% (a tithe), it would mean BILLIONS of extra dollars each year to churches/Christian organizations.

I hope this website will help others to save money so they can give more which will further God's Kingdom. NOT FOR MY GLORY BUT FOR HIS.

I will NEVER ask how much you give or how much you make. I am not here to keep a running tab of how much $$$ this website has saved people and in turn how much they gave because of it. GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF THE MONEY THAT PEOPLE GIVE AND HAVE IT TURNED INTO HIS WORK. My goal is to help you save it so you can give it.
